Was nearly late because of the umpteen point turn I had to make to get out. As you can see in the second pic, Mr. AssFinder has no excuse for this atrocity. It's not like he was forced to park like that by another car BECAUSE THERE IS NO SPOT IN FRONT OF HIM!!!

I don't get it.

My Jeep got sandwiched in a parallel parking spot. The second picture was eaten by Kinja, it should be there now.

That would be a fairly reasonably spaced parking spot in NYC...

I get what happened, and he's an asshole. Buuut, I hope it's not too rude to say that the space you have to get out is just a normal space in Europe.

Mix <2ft clearance on either end with a wonky clutch that occasionally engages very suddenly and you'll understand why I was unhappy.

See my response to Kyuusei.

Oh no I totally understand why you'd be angry. I would be too considering the large amount of space left in front of that...Nissan?
If it was on a street packed full of cars I would even rate it as being almost considerate in terms of space left.

This is one of those situations I would be seriously tempted to pop it into 4 low and just nudge him forward.

I understand the frustration. My truck is very long and it makes it hard for me to backup without fear of demolishing whatever's behind me. The other night after dinner I was backing up and saw some dude in another long truck parked behind me. Engaged the 16 point turn, haha.

I was squarely in my spot the night before, which means that the Pathfinder pulled into the spot and proceeded to back his ass up my air intake for no reason whatsoever!

You have to really give the Jeep gas to get it going, so when the wonky clutch randomly decides to engage suddenly it means the whole truck lurches uncontrollably.

Frightening.

Yeah, that would be my first thought. "Your bumper got scratched while you were in my parking spot? Hmm. Maybe it shouldn't have been in my parking spot."

There actually could be a decent excuse, not a good one, but a decent one. If the Pathrinder parked at night, and isn't from the area, there's a good chance the driver didn't see the painted out spots on the road. So then you would park normally, and how he parked is about right.
Pro tip (and I don't intend to sound rude): If you have a vehicle with some special needs (doesn't have reverse, spastic clutch, whatever) preemptively park in a spot where you won't be hindered by someone else, usually on the end. Do that long enough and people will leave the spot for you. I've used the same two parking spots in my apartment complex for the 7.5 months I've lived there, they're far from anyone's building entrance, and people just don't park in them.
